Shell seafood

SEASHELL SEAFOOD

Seafood is my favorites foods.  Everyday my lunch will definitely have 1 type of seafood eg. fish or snail but mostly is fish either fried fish, steam fish or curry fish.


One of the popular seafood is SNAILS.....  Have eaten quite a few type of snails before.


Snail as picture below also known as Belitung snails, red eye is a type of shellfish fresh water mollusk that could find in market.

Bamboo shell ....I don't like the taste of it.  








 

Mussel is everyone favorite...  specially top up with cheese on top
                                                                     


Spiky snail or chi lei....
Have to use toothpick to dig the flesh out.

  Cockles is best taken---just boiled in hot water for 2 minutes.  Consumption of too much cockles leads to hepatitis. 








Siput lala - mostly fried with chilli or fermented peanut.




Kepah similar to clam but I don't like to take cos of the sand and mud inside it.


My all time favorite is siput as above picture.  We used to go to beach to dig for the siput.  Usually when we have plenty of siput, my mother like to seasoned it with soya sauce, chilli, garlic and some salt - best taken with porridge.  I like to fried this siput with some garlic and chilli and the taste is sweet.
